Better Internet Security for your file uploads to MERS
In MERS Tips and Tricks for November there was an article entitled "Secure Your Online File Transmissions". In this article MERS announced they will discontinue using the FTP protocol for file uploads by July 2015.
We're writing today to acknowledge MERS conversion from FTP to SFTP and to let our users know eRAMP will be converted to SFTP prior to the MERS FTP deactivation date of July 2015. The eRAMP development team will complete development of a version of eRAMP utilizing SFTP in advance of July 2015. This will allow our users time to test their new version of eRAMP. Once MERS converts to SFTP all prior versions of eRAMP will be unable to submit files to MERS. To continue using eRAMP this SFTP upgrade will be required. The eRAMP SFTP upgrade will be included at no additional charge to users with an active Annual Support and Upgrade Subscription. A price has not been established at this time for users without an active annual support and upgrade subscription.
We're currently reviewing MERS requirements and the many options available to support SFTP. As our development team provides updates and a release schedule we will be emailing updates to our users.
