This article is our fourth regarding eRAMP testing with MERS new ICE Data Center. The other three articles dealt with our internal testing with the ICE Migration Team. In article #3 6/11/2018 we announced eRAMP testing for SFTP and XML Online registration had been successfully completed and the next step was for our users to test their eRAMP connectivity with ICE.
Testing your eRAMP connectivity and ultimately converting to the new MERS ICE Data Center will be easy and will not require an update to your eRAMP software. There are only two changes you have to make on your eRAMP Client Setup screen, see screen shot below. The first change to test SFTP connectivity is to change your SFTP Host IP Address. The ICE Migration team provided a nice handout with details about testing and moving to MERS live production environment when the time comes. If you have not received this handout it is available from MERS website in the User area. For your convenience we have also setup the handout on our website. The second change you will have to make if you are using XML Online Registration is to the URLs. If you are going to test your current working eRAMP software be sure to save a copy of the current URL you are using to connect to MERS current system. If you lose the URL for the current XML Online Registration system click this link to download our XML info sheet. From MERS ICE Migration info sheet copy the URLs to test both production and training/test systems. Since both systems are setup for testing submitting loans into either system will not result in real loan activity. If you are not currently setup to use MERS XML Online Registration system you will get an error when you try to submit loans. MERS XML Online registration system is a great system for quick and easy registration. When combined with eRAMP we think you will agree there's no better way to submit a bunch of loans to MERS.
